5G, M2M, IoT …. Systematic Innovation Using TRIZ

5G for Priority Services is the latest addition to our 5G/IoT/M2M curriculum. We have also added a number of research publications on those topics as well as on Big Data, Analytics, AI, Robotics, and 3D Printing.

We kicked off our innovation curriculum in 2015 with a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) attended by hundreds of engineers worldwide. While many innovation methodologies are creativity stimulation techniques rooted in psychology, TRIZ turns inventing  into a systematic, algorithmic process. We teach both types of courses, but the demand for TRIZ has grown steadily, making our TRIZ curriculum grow over the years as well.

Our TRIZ courses have helped our clients generate patentable ideas, circumvent competitors’  patents, analyze and refine existing products, systems and processes, turbo-charge Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) by coupling it with TRIZ’s robust solution-generation engine, and much more.

The applications have ranged from wheel assemblies to particle accelerators. But TRIZ is not just for engineers; it has been used to solve business problems as well. TRIZ is not easy to master but once learned, it proves to be a fast, reliable, repeatable, and versatile tool for cracking tough problems. Those not using it are leaving innovation breakthroughs and cost savings on the table.

If you’d like to learn more about TRIZ, you can begin by reading Dave Conley’s feature article on Contradiction Analysis, one of the many tools used in TRIZ, and checking out our TRIZ curriculum.
